Nursery school and Baby Care Program
This is the main income generating program for September 10. Here we have some orphaned, vulnerable children (OVC) who total to 60 (sixty). Teaching children helps create a stimulating learning environment for the children from low-income communities. Activities include teaching educational games, arts & crafts, sports, and working alongside local teachers to create new developmentally and culturally appropriate activities for the children. The children in nursery school are taught basic knowledge according to the Kenyan Education system which includes the basic English from all over the world. For the children in baby care, guardians/ parents drop them at the center while they go for their daily activities in search for daily human needs for their homes. We do take care of the children during the day and the parents come pick them up in the evening. We feed the children on a daily basis and help them feel accommodated and as one happy family at home. Guardians/ parents pay a small fee for the education purposes of their children during the day while the feeding is absolutely free. |

Volunteering and placement program
September 10 offers volunteering programs with our partner organizations in Kenya to those who want to make a difference and reach out to those who need a hand up support. Each volunteer has had the opportunity to work closely with local people and experience volunteering in a new way. Volunteers have become part of a movement who work and learn together, benefiting local communities through their efforts and gaining a new perspective of the world as well as a new-found knowledge of another country. As a volunteer, you can make adifference by supporting and contributing to a sustainable solution designed by the community and for the community. You will learn what challenges they face and see how your workfurthers their goals. You will also have the chance to create valuable connections with the people you work with each day. We value Integrity and we are committed to ensuring thesafety, flexibility, professionalism, transparency and excellence of our volunteer programs. See our volunteer programs to learn more |
